Man arrested, accused in deadly stabbing in west Fort Worth
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing Sunday night in west Fort Worth.
Francisco Antonio Vasquez Jr. is accused of murder in the death of Rodrigo Aguirre, 19.
Police had been dispatched about 9:33 p.m. Sunday to the Spring Glen apartments in the 3200 block of Saint Juliet Street, near University Drive and White Settlement Road.
There, they discovered Aguirre dead — stabbed twice — in the apartment complex parking lot.
Based on witness statements, Vasquez Jr. was identified early on a suspect in the stabbing, said Officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman. Vasquez was arrested Monday afternoon on a patrol violation warrant at a Fort Worth residence.
“Fugitive officers went up to the house, knocked on the door and he came out and surrendered without incident,” Segura said.
Homicide investigators then obtained a murder warrant for Vasquez Jr. He was being held in the Mansfield jail Tuesday with bail set at $100,000.
He was also being held without bond on a parole violation, jails records show.
