Authorities continued Monday to search for relatives of a 53-year-old man who was killed early Friday after being hit by a car on a city street.

A witness told police the man stumbled around before lying on Ramey Avenue about 12:13 a.m. Friday.

A car then hit and killed him, police said.

Officials with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office have identified the victim, but they haven’t released his name because they have not been able to reach any relatives as of Monday.

The accident occurred in the 4600 block of Ramey Avenue.

The man was seen stumbling around Ramey and several vehicles swerved around him, a witness told police.

But a 2009 Mitsubishi ran over him and killed him, police said. The driver of that car stopped at the scene.

No charges have been filed.
