Man shot in head while driving in Fort Worth
A motorist was shot in the head Friday morning and then pulled into a gas station for help, police said.
The motorist pulled over to a Chevron on Bridgewood Drive where he walked into the station for help.
The identity of the driver had not been released.
Patrol officers responded to the shooting shortly after 5:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Bridgewood Drive.
The victim told police that he was shot by another person while driving his vehicle, police said.
A store surveillance camera showed the man walking into the station with blood over the front of his shirt and pants, asking an employee for help.
The man was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, but police say his injury was not life threatening.
Investigators have not determined where exactly the shooting took police, said police Cpl. Tracey Knight in a Friday email.
No one had been arrested.
Detectives continued to investigate the shooting.
