Teen wounded in shooting after gang fight in north Fort Worth
A 19-year-old man was wounded in a shooting after a gang fight on Fort Worth’s north side Thursday afternoon, police said.
The incident happened about 3:30 p.m in the 2400 block of McKinley Avenue, where the victim lived, said officer Jimmy Pollozani, police spokesman.
Earlier Thursday, the victim had been in a fight with the suspects in the nearby Diamond Hill neighborhood. Gang unit officers broke up the fight and the victim went home, Pollozani said.
The suspects then drove from Diamond Hill to the victim’s home and opened fire, striking the victim in the chest.
The victim was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with non-life threatening injuries.
Police were still investigating Thursday afternoon. No arrests had been made.
