Missing Graham doctor reportedly caught ride to Fort Worth
A Graham doctor who was reported missing Nov. 18 might be in the Fort Worth area.
Graham Police posted in a Facebook comment that Dr. Jeff Gilbertson was reportedly given a ride to Fort Worth on Friday by a former patient who didn’t know he was reported missing. The department also wrote that it is watching the doctor’s businesses and residences to see if he turns back up.
Graham Police Chief Tony Widner told the local newspaper, the Graham Leader, that Gilbertson’s family is worried for his safety and describes him as being in an “impaired mental status.”
He was last seen at G2 Ministries, a Graham shelter he helped start. He left his car there, but clothes and a blue-and-silver bike were gone.
KFDX reported Gilbertson’s medical license was temporarily suspended in October. The station also reported that he was wearing either camouflage clothing or a black jacket with jeans.
Gilbertson’s parents wrote a letter to the Graham Leader last week: “God is taking him on a journey we would never have chosen for him, but our confidence is not in our finite thinking but in the infinite God who created Jeff for his purposes. Please continue praying and know that Jeff’s heart is about ministering to the medical and spiritual needs of his community.”
