Two students and their mother claim rats have infested Fossil Ridge High School in far north Fort Worth.

“He said, ‘We have rats everywhere,’” Krystal Hosea told CBS 11 when talking about a conversation with her son this week. “He goes, ‘They’re in the ceiling, the lights, running across the floor.’”

Hosea said her two sons saw three of the rodents at school Wednesday morning and more on Thursday, according to the CBS 11 story.

The Keller school district told the TV station, “New construction in the area disturbs small animal populations, causing them to migrate to neighboring structures, not exclusive to a school.”

“Keller ISD is aware and is taking steps to remedy the problem,” the school district’s statement said.
