Two finalists for Tarrant County College chancellor were chosen by trustees Friday.

They are Eugene V. Giovannini, founding president of Maricopa Corporate College in Scottsdale, Ariz.,and Barbara Kavalier, president of Navarro College in Corsicana.

Students, staff and the general public may meet the candidates during two forums on Thursday, June 2, at the Energy Auditorium at TCC’s Trinity River Campus. The forums will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Trustees are expected to name a sole finalist at a special board meeting on June 9. After a 21-day period mandated by law, the appointment becomes official, according to a news release.

Vice Chancellor Angela Robinson, who is also TCC’s general counsel, has been acting chancellor since Erma Johnson Hadley died in October 2015.
