Are you an accountant who plugs functions into spreadsheets to automate your math? An engineer who hasn’t practiced your multiplication tables in decades? An artist who avoids math at all costs? Here’s a chance to test your foundational math skills.

As testing season for Texas elementary students has recently passed for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, the Star-Telegram has created a math quiz to see how adults shape up against third-, fourth- and fifth-grade level questions using practice questions from the exam. As summer vacation in the Fort Worth Independent School District begins May 23, the quiz gives a taste of what students have been learning throughout the school year.

Grab a pencil and piece of paper, scroll below to answer the questions and see how your math skills fare.

There are nine questions total, and some have corresponding visuals that are needed to answer the questions. The questions provided by the Texas Education Agency start at third-grade level and increase in difficulty up to fifth-grade level. Good luck!

When you’re done with the quiz below, try testing your reading comprehension in another STAAR quiz here: http://bit.ly/3GPAdbX
