H-E-B is searching for the state’s top educators as nominations for the 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are underway. The program from the San Antonio-based grocer has handed out more than $14 million to educators and schools.

The program, now accepting entries until Oct. 7, seeks to honor teachers, counselors, principals, early childhood centers, school boards and school districts for their outstanding contributions. The awards celebrate those who go above and beyond for students.

You can make nominations at heblovesteachers.com.

Nominees will be invited to apply for the award by Dec. 2. A nomination is required to apply for an award.

A panel of judges of educators, administrators and community leaders will select finalists and winners.

Six teachers, two counselors and two principals along with an early childhood center, public school board and two school districts will be announced at an awards ceremony in May 2025.

Each school will receive a matching grant.
