Some North Texas schools to remain closed Monday, not all because of the winter storm
With the winter storm leaving North Texas this weekend, most schools and colleges in Tarrant County have announced they are reopening Monday, or have not yet extended the time they’ll be closed.
Lake Worth High School will be closed due to flooding on campus during the storm and is expected to reopen Feb. 14. All other schools in the district will resume regular schedules on Monday.
Grandview ISD students will not return to campuses until Tuesday, according to the district’s website. Due to the weather, Linday ISD announced it would be adding 7 minutes to each school day starting Feb. 14 to prevent having to add full school days to the calendar.
Milford school district will still be closed Monday for a professional development day, the district said on Facebook. Muenster schools will also still be closed for a teacher work day, that district said on its website.
Students at UT Arlington are expected to have their first in-person classes of the semester on Monday after the university started the spring semester online.
