Repairs underway as malware attacks Fort Worth Independent School District’s network

Malware attacked the Fort Worth Independent School District’s computer network early Tuesday, the district said.

The school system’s computer network was offline Tuesday afternoon as repairs were underway.

“There is no reason to believe that any student or staff personal information is at risk,” the district said.

School district employees were working with Microsoft and Cisco to restore the network. The attack was “quickly contained,” the district said.
