Dallas police are searching for robbery suspect who bit a store clerk during a July 28 robbery.

His bite was worse than his bark.

Police continued their search Thursday for a suspect who bit the forearm of a store clerk as she attempted to shut a cash drawer during a holdup at a 7-Eleven on North Marsalis Avenue.

The suspect also punched the clerk before he ran out.

Police released photographs of the suspect and a possible suspect vehicle Wednesday in hopes someone would recognize the biting suspect and his accomplice. Store surveillance cameras captured photos.

The robbery occurred about 1:05 a.m. July 28 at the store, 302 N. Marsalis Ave.

One suspect entered the store and made a purchase, police said. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect leaned over the counter and reached into the drawer to steal money, police said.

When the clerk tried to close the drawer, the suspect used his mouth and fist.

After the assault, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and climbed into the passenger side of a white Mitsubishi sports utility vehicle driven by a second suspect.

The suspect in the store is described as an African-American man, 25 to 35 years-old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 250 pounds, wearing a red T-shirt with horizontal tears, black shorts and red Nike tennis shoes.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white Mitsubishi SUV with a sunroof and no front plate.
