Dallas police say a man took an ambulance on a joyride to two adult bookstores before crashing it into a tree hours later.

Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the ambulance was taken from UT Southwestern Medical Center, according to Fox 4.

Police followed the ambulance’s path to two adult bookstores and tried to pull it over at a convenience store around 2:30 a.m., but the driver took off.

After crashing into a tree, the driver ran to a creek where he was arrested.

Last month, a Fort Worth man stole an unattended ambulance from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and took it on a joyride to Jack in the Box. He told police he did it simply because he was hungry.
