Bicyclist identified in Irving hit-and-run fatality
A bicyclist killed Sunday morning by a hit-and-run driver has been identified as Heather Loughlin, 40, of Dallas, police said Tuesday.
Loughlin was found on Shady Grove Road and later died at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Police are still searching for the motorist who hit Loughlin as she was riding her bicycle.
Detectives say they believe Loughlin was hit just before 6 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of W. Shady Grove Road near Rindie Street. Police got a report of a critically injured person lying in the roadway.
Authorities are searching for an early 2000 model Nissan Altima driven by a Hispanic man, about 30 years old with a ponytail and about 5-foot-4.
