Some downtown Dallas streets still closed, county buildings open
Elm, Lamar and Market Streets were to open at 5 a.m. in downtown Dallas today and the West End Dart Station will resume normal operations, according to the Dallas Police Department.
The department’s Facebook page shows that Main Street between Market and Lamar and Austin Street between Commerce and Main will remain closed.
Also closed: the Texas Club Parking garage and the El Centro College campus, until further notice.
Residents and commuters should check with their employers to see if their offices are open.
It is unknown which roads will be closed as President Barack Obama makes his way from the Love Field Airport to the Meyerson Symphony Center. His route had not been released early today.
Dallas County buildings expected to reopen this morning are the George L. Allen Sr. Civil Courts Building, 600 Commerce St.; the Old Red Museum, 100 S. Houston St.; Dallas County Administration Building, 411 Elm St.; and the Dallas County Records Building, 509 Main St., WFAA reported.
The Bank of America building is still closed.
DART rail and buses and resumed normal service, WFAA reported. Rail and buses have resumed normal service at West End Station, CBD West Transfer Center and Rosa Parks Plaza.
