Missing North Texas dog found in Tennessee
The story of Snow White, a miniature schnauzer missing from her Lewisville home since December, will have a fairy tale ending.
The pup was found this week nearly 1,000 miles away from North Texas in Bristol, Tenn., according to WCYB News 5.
Paige Rogers found the dog dodging traffic in Bristol, coaxed it into her car and took it to her vet. When a microchip scan revealed Snow White’s owner lived in Lewisville, Rogers was shocked.
“If only she could talk! I'm like how did she get up here?” Rogers told WCYB.
Melissa Born and her family in Lewisville were equally amazed to find out that Snow White had been found so far away. They’d been distraught since she vanished in December and told the TV station they’d posted fliers and searched all the animal shelters within 50 miles.
They had given up hope that Snow White would be found, much less in Tennessee.
“She’s been our world,” Born told WCYB. “My kids were devastated to find out that she was missing. ... All three of us were sitting at home crying because she had been found.”
Born said she will drive to Tennessee this weekend to be reunited with her wandering pup, Snow White.
