Rodents and roaches found in latest Dallas restaurant inspections
Rodents or roaches were found at three Dallas restaurants and nine others will require reinspection, according to the report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from Nov. 23 through Dec. 6 and 200 inspections.
Dallas’ health inspections function on a 100-point system: A score of 100 is considered perfect and scores below 70 are considered failing, with reinspection required within 10 days.
Rodents or roaches were found at three restaurants:
- Taqueria La Famosita, at 11716 Ferguson Road, had a score of 84. Inspectors observed rodent droppings in a back storage area, under shelving, and near where a bag of tortillas was found with gnaw marks.
- La Paloma Taqueria, at 9661 North Central Expressway, had a score of 84. Roach activity was observed near a freezer at the location.
- Tacos La Addiccion,at 4970 West Illinois Ave., had a score of 93. A large amount of dead roaches were observed on the pipes of a service sink.
Nine restaurants will undergo reinspection:
- Cowboy Chicken, at 17437 Preston Road, had a score of 70
- Rosi’s LLC, at 313 West Jefferson Blvd., had a score of 71
- Del Sur Taco, at 720 East Jefferson Blvd., had a score of 72
- Smart Mart, at 3150 East Ledbetter Drive, had a score of 74
- The Mayor’s House By Selda, at 635 North Zang Blvd., had a score of 75
- Kuai Dumplings & Soups, lat 325 North Saint Paul St., had a score of 76
- Senda Del Sabor, at 10118 Garland Road, had a score of 76
- Royal Chopstix, at 9625 Webb Chapel Road, had a score of 77
- The Crab Station Oyster Bar, at 9780 Walnut St., had a score of 77
