Man arrested in assault of bride-to-be at Dallas bachelorette party, police say
Police have arrested the man accused of attacking a bride-to-be in downtown Dallas after her bachelorette party, according to a statement.
Trevon Woodards, 27, was arrested Friday by Bedford police, according to the statement.
Canada Rinaldi, 27, of Oklahoma, was celebrating her bachelorette party in Dallas on March 22 when police say Woodards assaulted her until she was unconscious, the Star-Telegram previously reported.
Dash camera video from a rideshare driver shows Rinaldi falling to the ground after being struck by a man, according to WFAA-TV.
Rinaldi’s bridesmaid tried to intervene and was also punched by the man, the Star-Telegram reported.
Rinaldi was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she was treated for a concussion, a broken nose, three broken teeth and eight stitches in her face, according to WFAA-TV.
A GoFundMe for Rinaldi’s medical expenses has raised over $15,000.
