18-wheeler hangs off bridge after crash on downtown Dallas highway, photos & video show
An 18-wheeler driver was taken to a hospital after first-responders rescued him from a tractor-trailer that was hanging off a downtown Dallas bridge following a crash Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. on southbound U.S. 75/Interstate 345, near the Live Oak exit, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
There was heavy rain on the highway at the time of the accident.
First-responders used a crane to lower the wrecked truck to the ground. The driver reportedly was in stable condition with unknown injuries.
Traffic deputies with the Sheriff’s Office are investigating what caused the crash.
