NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal will sponsor a gun buyback program in Dallas in conjunction with the Dallas County Sheriffs office.

The program will give out $100 gift cards for any handgun turned in and $125 for any long gun turned in. However, the event is only available for Dallas County residents and features a limit of up to three guns per resident.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dallas County Sheriff’s Training Academy at 8401 S. Polk Street in Dallas.

Despite the buyback program, Shaq doesn’t support any bans on guns as he believes it would only enable more illegal gun purchases and instead stated support for an increase in funds for the police in response to school shootings.

Shaq has a history of working with law enforcement being an honorary Fort Bend County special deputy.
