‘The most important home of its era’ is for sale for $60 million in north Dallas. Take a look
Dallas’ prestigious Crespi Estate is for sale for $60 million.
Built in 1938, the home was designed by Swiss architect Maurice Fatio and was once owned by investor Tom Hicks, former owner of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars.
It is considered North Texas’ most expensive estate.
The 27,000-square-foot mansion has 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms as well as 11 fireplaces.
The Crespi Estate sits on nearly 16 acres, and, in addition to the main home, includes a 3,000-square-foot guest house and a nearly 5,000-square-foot recreational complex, according to the listing.
“This is the most important home of its era built anywhere in the country,” said Richard Brettell, former director of the Dallas Museum of Art.
The home is at 5619 Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas’ Preston Hollow neighborhood. The grounds feature a pool, tennis court, greenhouse, garden, waterfall, creek, walking trails and a lighted heliport.
The property is being listed by Allie Beth Allman & Associates.
