70-year-old man found dead in car days after he was reported missing in Dallas, police say
A Dallas man who was reported missing was found dead inside a car on Sunday, according to police.
Police had been looking for Eddie Daniel Jeffrey, 70, since he was reported missing on Wednesday and hadn’t been seen since April 10.
About 2:25 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call for service in the 4800 block of South Lancaster Road. When officers arrived, they found Jeffrey dead inside a vehicle, police said in a news release.
The case is now being investigated as an unexplained death, police said.
Jeffrey had last been seen walking in the 4800 block of South Lancaster Road.
Jeffrey was wearing two light blue jackets, a blue-and-white shirt and beige pants, according to police. Anyone with information about his disappearance was asked to contact the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268 and reference case number 061915-2023. The death investigation case number is 064264-2023.
