Dallas pedestrian dies after being run over by Greyhound bus
A woman died Thursday night in downtown Dallas after being run over by a Greyhound bus, according to police.
At around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, a motor coach was going northbound in the 100 block of North Lamar Street and began making a left turn to westbound Elm Street.
A woman, 55, was walking northbound on Lamar Street on a crosswalk crossing Elm Street when she was struck by the vehicle and went under the the front and rear tires.
The driver immediately stopped the vehicle and called 911, police said in a statement.
The woman died at the scene.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and will identify the woman pending notification of her next of kin. Authorities believe she was experiencing homelessness
