After a deadly hit-and-run in Irving, police want to identify the man in this video

Police trying to track down the driver in a fatal hit-and-run released a video Friday of a man they say they want to identify.

The incident happened shortly before midnight Tuesday in the 100 block of North State Loop 12, where police said they found a woman dead in the roadway.

The woman has yet to be identified.

In the video, which appears to be a compilation of surveillance footage from several different sources, a black man with dreadlocks and facial hair, wearing a shirt with logos on the front and back and stripes on the sleeves walks through a motel in the 500 block of Loop 12 South, police said.

The closest motel to that address is a Motel 6, according to Google Maps.

He gets into a light-colored, late-model, four-door sedan and drives through a parking lot.

Irving police ask that anyone who has information about the crime to call 972-273-1010 and reference case number 18-22028.
