Thieves crash pickup into pawn shop, steal surveillance system

Thieves crashed a pickup into a pawn shop in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas overnight and burglarized it, according to reports.

The smash-and-grab was reported at the Village Jewelry and Pawn shop in the 3200 block of West Illinois Avenue shortly before 4 a.m., NBCDFW.com reported.

The thieves got away with merchandise and property including the surveillance system, police told the news site.
