100 Plano residents evacuated from homes for 8 hours due to gas leak
On Thanksgiving morning, about 100 people in Plano were evacuated for at least eight hours because of a gas leak.
Plano police posted on Twitter that the area of West Spring Creek Parkway and Alma Drive was closed about 8:30 a.m. Thursday because of the gas leak, and that it’ll be closed for a minimum of eight hours.
CBSDFW reported that the leak was detected in underground sewer lines, and about 100 people were evacuated from about 80 nearby homes and a temporary shelter was set up for them.
