Woman found shot dead inside running car near Love Field
An unidentified woman was found shot dead inside a running car near Love Field on Tuesday, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call just after midnight Tuesday at the Love Field Inn at 3100 W. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Debra Webb said.
When police arrived, Dallas Fire-Rescue was treating the woman in the driver’s seat. She died of a gunshot wound to the upper body, Webb said.
The woman arrived at the hotel between noon and 1 p.m. Monday and never left the vehicle, Webb said. One witness heard a “bang” shortly after the car was parked at the inn.
Another witness saw an individual exit the vehicle from the passenger side, but could not give a description, Webb said.
The body was sent to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office, according to KRLD.
