Midlothian man sentenced for giving meth to daughter at 13
A Midlothian man who was sentenced to prison this week for giving his teenage daughter methamphetamine and other drugs took her to drug houses and did drugs with her, a news release from the Ellis County district attorney’s office says.
Charles “Trey” Daubitz III, 45, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance to a child and was sentenced to 20 years. He was arrested in September 2015 after the girl’s mother found her with methamphetamine.
“Contrary to the popular narrative being told in our country today, this is the type of drug offender that is going to prison,” Ellis County District Attorney Patrick Wilson said in a statement.
Daubitz’s daughter became an addict quickly when he started giving her drugs at 13, according to the release. Even after she entered and was released from a substance abuse program, Daubitz continued to give her methamphetamine.
He would also take his daughter to drug houses in Dallas and Ellis counties.
Daubitz has felony convictions for forgery and escape in Dallas County in 2008 and for delivery of a controlled substance in Tarrant County in 2011.
