4 Dallas teens arrested in Waxahachie gun store break-in

Four Dallas teenagers have been arrested in the case of a Waxahachie gun store that was broken into by thieves who drove a truck through the wall.

The four face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and are accused of breaking into Shooter’s Edge in the 1000 block of West U.S. 287 about 2:45 a.m. July 10, Waxahachie police said in a news release.

Store surveillance video shows a truck plowing into the store. Seven people ran in, took guns and ran out. Three handguns have been recovered, the news release said.

Special agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and Waxahachie and Dallas police officers arrested Xavier Kirvin, 19, on Friday and Devon Jennings, 17, on Tuesday.

Ardell Cherry and Demarcus Dillard, both 17, were arrested on Monday by Dallas officers.

They were booked into the Ellis County jail. Jennings has been released on bail, but the other three remained behind bars late Thursday.

Shooter’s Edge remains closed until further notice, according to its website, because of extensive damage to the building.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
