Midlothian police release new video in slaying investigation

Police on Friday released new surveillance video showing the suspect in the slaying of a fitness coach inside a Midlothian church earlier this week.

The video is roughly two minutes long and shows more angles of a person dressed in police tactical gear aimlessly wandering inside Creekside Church early April 18.

Terri Leann “Missy” Bevers, 45, was found dead inside the church about 5 a.m. The first time the suspect is seen on video is at 3:50 a.m., police said.

Police want the public to pay attention to how the person walks and how he or she holds an object.

“We are just hoping somebody will see something that piques their interest and spurs their memory so they can make a connection to someone they know,” Assistant Police Chief Kevin Johnson said. Full report at WFAA.com
