Police seized marijuana plants, growing equipment, weapons and ammunition from a Southlake home, arrested the residents and relocated their infant grandson, authorities said Wednesday.
Keith Fields, 52, and Julia Thacker, 51, were arrested Monday at their home in the 100 block of Sweet Street. Their 10-month-old grandson is now with another relative, police said.
Someone who had recently been to the home called police and reported that people were smoking and selling marijuana and asked that officers check on the infant. Officers went to the home Sunday afternoon and secured it until Monday afternoon, police spokeswoman Kim Leach said in an email Wednesday.
They obtained a search warrant and confiscated 55 marijuana plants, about 16 weapons, ammunition and equipment for a marijuana-growing operation, police said.

“The infant that was in the house was relocated with a family member by Child Protective Services,” Leach said in a news release.
Fields and Thacker are expected to be charged with possession of marijuana over 5 pounds and under 50 pounds. They were released Monday after posting bail. The amount was unavailable.
