Sketch released of suspect who tried to abduct student in Fort Worth

Police asked for help Wednesday in identifying a man who attempted to abduct a female student who was walking to a Keller school district middle school.

Detectives released a composite sketch of the suspect, who drove away from the student when she pulled out a cellphone.

The incident occurred about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday as the student walked to Hillwood Middle School, 8250 Parkwood Boulevard, in north Fort Worth.

A man in a small Chevrolet sports utility vehicle pulled up alongside her, police said. The suspect asked if she needed a ride and she told him no.

The man asked her another question and she again said no, police said. Then she pulled out her phone and the suspect drove away.

The suspect is described as a white man, bald, with no facial hair. He drove a dark colored SUV. Anyone with information should call Fort Worth police at 817-335-4222.
