Woman found critically injured in northeast Fort Worth

Police are searching for answers to what happened to a woman found critically injured Thursday night in northeast Fort Worth.

The woman’s identity remained unknown Friday, but homicide Detective J.T. Rhoden said he believes that she is in her mid-20s.

She remained hospitalized Friday with a head injury.

Rhoden said officers responding to an injured-person call at around 9:40 p.m. found the woman outside a residence that was not hers in the 400 block of Haltom Road. A business and several residences are on the multiacre site, he said.

It did not appear that the victim had been there for long, he said.

“Right now we are working under the belief that this was an intentional act until something turns up to make us think otherwise,” Rhoden said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Rhoden at 817-392-4336.
