A man died after he was shot several times following an argument in Azle on Sunday night, according to a news release from the Azle Police Department.
Azle police got a 911 call of a disturbance in the 600 block of South Steward Street at 5:54 p.m. Two men were arguing, interim Chief D.D. West wrote in a statement.
West said the disturbance escalated to the point where one of the men produced a handgun and shot the other several times.
The victim was identified as Bradley Bettis, 40, of Azle, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect surrendered, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
