One person dead in Fort Worth shooting

Patrol officers answering a shooting call discovered one person dead early Friday at a home in south Fort Worth, police said.

Authorities had not released the name of the victim.

Officers responded to the shooting call shortly before 4 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Willow Park Drive. A roommate had called police reporting that the victim had been shot, according to a preliminary police report. The victim was shot by an unknown suspect, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
