Authorities are looking for a thief who assaulted a clerk and stole money from the Briar Beer and Tobacco Convenience Store in northwest Tarrant County early Friday, the sheriff’s department said.

The sheriff’s department released store surveillance video showing a “person of interest” fleeing the scene after inflicting “serious bodily injury” on the clerk, according to a news release.

The suspect entered the store on Farm Road 730 in unincorporated Tarrant County about 7:15 a.m., assaulted the clerk, stole money from the cash register and fled in a dark four-door sedan displaying a third break light in the upper center back windshield, the sheriff’s department said.

Anyone with information about the robbery suspect is asked to call Detective Pedraza of the Tarrant County sheriff’s office at 817-999-5683 or 817-884-1213.
