Police apprehended a man suspected of shooting a woman multiple times at an apartment Saturday morning.

Police responded to a disturbance call in north Fort Worth at The Club at Fossil Creek apartment complex a little before 9 a.m.

Police found a woman who had been shot multiple times in the upper torso outside the apartment. She told police the gunman was still inside, said officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.

The suspect, who was armed, barricaded himself in the apartment.

SWAT officers deployed gas in the apartment, and the suspect jumped out a second-story window.

Police arrested the suspect, who has not yet been identified. The woman was brought to John Peter Smith Hospital by ground ambulance in serious condition. The man was also brought to the hospital with minor injuries.
