Impaired driver crashes into Dallas police vehicle, injuring 2 officers, police say
Two Dallas police officers were injured when their vehicle was hit by a suspected impaired driver, according to WFAA-TV.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane, police said.
The officers were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, and the suspect was transported to the hospital by Dallas-Fire Rescue.
The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old John Gutierrez. He faces a charge of driving while intoxicated and carrying an unlawful weapon.
Dallas police told WFAA that the investigation is ongoing.
