Victim stabbed in south Fort Worth; suspect arrested, police say

Fort Worth police were called early Thursday morning about a possible shooting incident, but when officers arrived they found a victim with a stab wound, a police spokesperson said.

About 1 a.m. police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Colvin Avenue, in the Morningside neighborhood of south Fort Worth. They found a man with a stab wound under his lower left rib and a laceration on his arm. The victim was not shot.

The victim was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.

According to Fort Worth jail records, a suspect, 54-year-old Harrison Jamal Greer, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury/family violence.
