A Collin County court released photo and video evidence used in the murder trial of Karmelo Anthony on Friday afternoon.

Anthony, 19, was found guilty of murder in June after he fatally stabbed Austin Metcalf, 17, at a track meet in April 2025. Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

The evidence released was part of what was shown to the jury and court during the weeklong trial.

Body camera footage and security tapes show the two at the Kuykendall Stadium track meet. Anthony can be heard admitting to killing Metcalf.

The photos depict evidence including the murder weapon, Anthony’s backpack and the scene after the stabbing took place.
