SWAT team in Fort Worth standoff with man who sexually assaulted relative: police

A police department SWAT team is on the scene of a standoff at a west Fort Worth apartment with a man who sexually assaulted a relative early Wednesday, a police spokesperson said.

Police went near the 8100 block of Maybach Lane about 3:45 a.m. to investigate the sexual assault.

Officers found the suspect’s vehicle and the suspect. The suspect parked, ran into an apartment and barricaded themselves, the spokesperson said.

The officers set a perimeter. The standoff was underway at 8:45 a.m.
