A 59-year-old man was arrested after cutting a person with a machete during a home invasion confrontation in Fort Worth on Thursday, according to police.

Albert Turner faces a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, according to Fort Worth jail records.

Officers responded to the cutting about 3 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Maddox Avenue, police said in a statement.

Investigators determined that the homeowner found Turner trespassing inside the vacant residence and a confrontation ensued, police said.

During the “struggle”, Turner cut an individual with the property owner with a machete. The victim was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Turner was restrained until officers arrived and arrested him, police said.
