One person hospitalized after shooting at north Fort Worth apartment: police

One person was injured after a shooting in a north Fort Worth apartment complex early Sunday, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the shooting shortly before 1 a.m. in the 6900 block of North Beach street, police said in a statement.

Officers found a person, who has not been identified, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The person was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said gun violence detectives are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been announced.

In a separate shooting early Sunday a security guard was killed and a woman was injured near an after-hours club in Fort Worth.
