Fort Worth police were on the scene of an officer-involved shooting that occurred late Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Outlet Boulevard, near Tanger Outlets mall on the city’s far north side.

The Fort Worth Police Department was not the agency involved in the shooting but was on the scene to assist, the department said.

According to Fort Worth police, the Lake Worth Police Department was the agency involved. Lake Worth has not yet released a statement. Fort Worth referred questions to the Texas Department of Public Safety, which is investigating the shooting.

“The situation is under investigation,” Fort Worth police said in a social media post. “There is no ongoing threat to the public.”
