A former Chick-fil-A employee was arrested earlier this month for stealing more than $80,000 from the restaurant’s Grapevine location, police said.

Investigation began in November 2025, after the Chick-fil-A owner reported that Keyshun Jones, a former employee who was fired a month earlier was seen in surveillance footage unattended behind the counter, police said in a news release on Tuesday.

Jones was seen in the video using the register to ring up 800 orders of mac and cheese trays, then refunding them to his personal credit cards. That resulted in a total theft of more than $80,000 from the restaurant, according to police.

Police said Jones evaded arrest multiple times before getting arrested on April 17 with help from the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department.

Jones faces charges for property theft, money laundering and evading arrest, the release stated.
