30-year-old man shot during robbery near downtown Fort Worth

A 30-year-old man was shot on Saturday during an early morning robbery near downtown Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to the area near Interstate 30 and Lancaster Avenue about 2:40 a.m. after somebody reported a shooting. They couldn’t find a victim, but later learned that a man with gunshot wounds had arrived at a local hospital for treatment.

The officers interviewed the injured man and learned he’d been robbed. The victim is expected to survive, according to police. No suspects have been arrested.
