Family mourns 33-year-old woman killed in White Settlement shooting
A 33-year-old woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in White Settlement on Friday afternoon. Her family remembers her as a “bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.”
Savanna Parker died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The White Settlement Police Department responded to the shooting in the 600 block of Meadow Park Drive about 3 p.m., police have said.
Parker was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where she died in the emergency room.
“She was happy, outgoing, and the kind of person who never gave up—no matter what life put in her path,” her family wrote in a GoFundMe post organized to raise money for funeral expenses.
“Savanna loved her family deeply and cared for everyone around her with her whole heart. If you knew her, you knew her laughter, her strength, and her ability to make people feel seen and loved,” the post read.
Shooting suspects on the run
Investigators determined that two to three male teens or young adults entered the south side of a residence. As they were leaving, one suspect standing outside the home pointed a handgun at Parker and shot at her multiple times while the door was still open, according to police.
Police said the homicide suspects then ran west on Wyatt Drive and authorities think they are no longer in the area.
White Settlement police have released photos of the suspects, who were wearing dark-colored clothing, with black hooded sweatshirts and black face coverings.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call WSPD Sgt. Steven Person at 817-246-7070, ext. 419.
