A former director of human resources was sentenced to prison for stealing more than $300,000 from a Fort Worth business, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office said on Thursday.

Stacia McGrew, 49, pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $310,000 in over two years and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to the release.

McGrew was a human resources manager at Dot It Restaurant Fulfillment in Fort Worth, according to an employment profile.

McGrew created bank accounts under real and fake employees’ names and then diverted company funds into those accounts which she controlled, according to the release. The scheme involved 20 real and fictitious employees, the release stated.

The company is now known as NCCO Brand Fulfillment and their products include custom labels and food packages, according to its website.

Fort Worth police began investigating the theft in 2022, according to a police report. Charges against McGrew were filed in 2024, court records show.
