A shooting at Bailey Lake in Burleson left one teenage boy dead and another injured Sunday night.

One suspect has been arrested and taken to the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center, Burleson police said in a news release.

Late Sunday night, Burleson police responded to reports of shots fired in the Bailey Lake parking lot.

The officers found two 17-year-old shooting victims. One victim, found in the driver’s seat of a car, was unresponsive with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. After paramedics attempted life-saving measures, he was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Keighan Robert Crist. He died in the emergency room at Texas Health Huguley Hospital.

The other teenage male had a gunshot wound to his leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Burleson Police Department said in the release that the shooting appears to have occurred during a drug deal involving three suspects.

Two of the three suspects were identified, according to police. One of them, a 17-year-old boy, was taken into custody from his residential driveway in Burleson. He was interviewed by detectives and admitted involvement in the shooting, police said.

The suspect, identified in Johnson County Jail records as Wyatt Lynn Jacobs, was arrested on suspicion of capital murder and aggravated robbery. His bond has been set at $1.2 million.

Police said they were searching for another identified suspect and a third, still-unidentified suspect who are at large. Their names nor any identifying details have been released at this time.

The Burleson Police Department’s statement said detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
