A man on Thursday evening slashed a relative inside a southeast Fort Worth house before he engaged in a standoff with officers as he refused to leave the residence, police said.

The suspect cut a 39-year-old woman about 5 p.m. in the 4600 block of Nolan Street, Fort Worth police said.

The suspect, Seth Castillo, would not come outside, police said. Officers established a perimeter and tried to get Castillo to exit. SWAT team officers were involved in the effort.

Eventually Castillo, who is 37, left the house, and officers took him into custody.

Police booked Castillo on suspicion of two assault offenses.

Police did not release the woman’s condition.

A second man who was uninvolved in the slashing also left the house. Police arrested him on suspicion of unrelated charges.
